Google toolbar tips: Quickly access the Google Toolbar by pressing Alt + G or open a new browser window with the results by pressing Shift + Enter.

Take full advantage of Google’s options feature by clicking the Show option. Link at the top of your search results. Clicking this link will display a bar to the left side of the results allowing you to refine your results to more of what you’re looking for. For example, the video link will display only videos related to your search, the reviews link will show any reviews related to your search, and related searches will show similar search results.

Many Internet users are familiar with how their Internet browsers store websites they visit, however many are surprised to learn that Google also stores all search queries done on Google.com when logged in to your Google account. To clear this web history follow the below steps.

  • Open google.com
  • In the top right corner of the screen click Settings and then Google Account settings.
Note: If you’re not logged in you’ll need to log in before continuing.

  • Under My products click Web history as shown in the picture to the right.
  • In the Web history click the Remove items link in the left column.
  • Choose what you wish to clear or if you wish to clear all search queries click the clear entire Web History.
